Every Qualified Student with a Disability has the Right to:

  • Receive equal access to all educational opportunities at the College including all College courses, 项目, 活动, 服务, 和设施.
  • Receive reasonable and appropriate accommodations, 政策的修改, 辅助艾滋病, or 服务 as determined through an individualized assessment in an interactive process with the 残疾人无障碍中心.
  • Receive effective communication access including the delivery of information in accessible formats across College platforms.
  • Expect confidentiality of all disability-related information shared with the 残疾人无障碍中心, with the choice to disclose specific information to selected parties with express consent, 除非法律有规定.
  • Be free from discrimination, disparate treatment, or harassment on the basis of disability.

If Seeking Disability-Related Accommodations, Every Qualified Student with a Disability has the Responsibility to:

  • Self-identify to the College by registering with the 残疾人无障碍中心 and following established procedures to 请求住宿 在预期需求之前. Please Note: Accommodations cannot be granted retroactively.
  • Provide supporting documentation to the 残疾人无障碍中心 that establishes the presence of non-observable disabilities or disabling medical conditions and the disability-related need for the requested accommodation, 根据我们的 文档的指导方针.

  • Notify the 残疾人无障碍中心 if there are any issues or concerns about the administration of accommodations. The 残疾人无障碍中心 staff will work to address the concern, which may include providing an effective alternative to the accommodation while working towards resolution.
